Published

on

Hansgrohe is one of the world-leading faucet manufacturers. They are renowned for their durable fixtures with minimalist and elegant designs. In the following article, we take a closer look at their products and examine what makes this brand great. Read our Hansgrohe faucet reviews to find the right.

Benefits of Buying Hansgrohe

The Hansgrohe Group is a European stock corporation that has two majority shareholders. One of them is an American corporation that owns 68% of the shares, while the second one is the holding company of the founder, Klaus Grohe. The company employed around 4,800 people in 2016 and sold its products in more than 140 countries. Hansgrohe celebrates 117 years in 2021.

Hansgrohe is renowned worldwide for its products. People appreciate their kitchen and bathroom fixtures because they’re innovative, they have great designs, and they’re durable.

Quality and Practicality

All the components used for Hansgrohe’s kitchen faucets have a high quality, and they are also very practical. Most of their faucets have a single handle control to ensure easier operation. If the faucet has a vertical control, the default design is to have the cold water at the lowest position to prevent scalding.

Design

Most of the kitchen faucets produced by Hansgrohe have a modern contemporary design. They have firm straight lines, and they come in a large variety of finishes. This company produces one of the best finishing colors available on the market, the Steel Optick. This finish was specially designed to match both chromed and brushed nickel, so if your other fixtures and appliances have different finishes, the faucet can act as a centerpiece. The minimalist design usually found in their products makes them great for both classical and modern kitchen designs.

Durability

The great thing about Hansgrohe is the durability of its products. They usually use solid brass or stainless steel for their faucets’ structures, and the rest of the components are made out of high-quality materials, as well. This is one of the things you’ll notice as soon as you open the box. All the materials you need for the faucet’s installation come with it, and even the hoses have a higher quality than you would expect.

The QuickClean silicone is one of the many patented technologies Hansgrohe implemented on most of its products. The silicone is impervious to limescale buildups. This might not seem much at a first glance, but it’s actually very important in the long run. You won’t have problems with limescale deposits that can sometimes partially block the water flow.

The spray head has two operating modes. In order to change between them by pressing the rubber surface on the top of the spray head. If you want to change back, simply turn the faucet off and on again.

Moen 90-Degree One-Handle High Arc Pullout Review

Published

on

By

Design & Style

We hope you will find our Moen 90-degree one-handle high arc pullout review useful. Moen took a rather bold step, design-wise, with their S7597CSL 90-Degree High-Arch Pullout kitchen faucet. This is perhaps the ultimate example of a marriage between a style and a time that is just hard to see coming together. Somehow they’ve managed to do it and they’ve done it quite well. A classic stainless steel color and finish belong, as the name suggests, to a time gone by or a more retro interior style. Yet the style of the faucet is a modern one.

Granted, this sort of limits the interior in which you can really install this faucet. Especially if you are indeed visually conscious about how permanent design elements such as your kitchen faucet look. Also, how they fit in with the overall theme of the style of your kitchen. Although it has a bit of a retro feel to its finish, the solid, geometric-type of shapes used to put the entire faucet together would simply not make sense in one of those kitchen interiors with a so-called quaint charm and character. Yet in a modern interior space, it induces a bit of a nostalgic feel to it. Almost like it’s a modern-day take and look into the past.

The ultra-minimalist will love what looks more like a piece of art than a kitchen faucet.

Features

A single handle lever makes this faucet easy to use, with the pull-out spout integrating Moen’s Reflex pull-down system, making this a unique hybrid faucet.

Water consumption and flow are at a rate of 1.5 gallons per minute, and the application is through one hole. It’s a compression-based connection, which is where the limitation to only 1.5 gallons per minute is regulated for maximum efficiency.

The unit features three function modes, including an aerated water stream, powerful rinsing, and pause.

Installation

This is not the most expensive of the best pull-out faucets you’ll find. It’s not the cheapest either. It’s worth every penny though since it kind of doubles-up as a pull-down faucet as well. It weighs a hefty 8.1 pounds and measures 24.7 x 12.2 x 3.9 inches. The dimensions make its installation a rather delicate process best left to a professional. Otherwise, it’s a deck-mounted faucet that will deliver solid performance once properly secured.

Functionality

Once one is done admiring the sheer beauty of this pullout kitchen faucet, fit for the set of a celebrity home feature, you’ll uncover quite a lot of nifty little functionality features. While its 90-degree profile is perhaps more of a visual design feature than one geared towards functionality, the faucet packs some design alchemy under the hood, in the form of the manufacturer’s Duralast 1255 Cartridge. This very simple piece of technology simply ensures the smoothness of the handle. When nestled in your hand stays that way for possibly as long as you’ll be alive to use the faucet.

The smoothness of the handle and the way in which it moves makes controlling the water flow and temperature extremely precise. It slips right back into place very easily as well. It is a welcome feature for homeowners who’ve had to endure some of the pains of dealing with older model faucets.

Maintenance

Well, it is made of stainless steel. As “stainless” as stainless steel is, it is rather prone to picking up fingerprints. It’s a simple matter of wiping them off if they do indeed bother you, of course. Otherwise, you will need to do very little maintenance with this faucet. Using the pull-down feature also won’t have it look like it’s just been used as a result of the auto-retracting feature.

Kraus Single Lever Pull Out Faucet Review

Published

on

By

Design & Style

This Kraus faucet is not only beautiful to look at but provides reliability and versatility as well. We hope you will find our Kraus single lever pull out faucet review helpful. It’s one of the only pull-down faucets (or any type of kitchen faucet for that matter) which is made of the same base (body) as its color – stainless steel. That said, however, it has a silver finish. The quality is really quite exceptional. You can tell by just picking the faucet up and rolling it around in your hands. It has that characteristic Kraus feel about it, which oozes border-busting design while their products (including this particular faucet) are made with the finest quality in materials. It’s almost like they source their materials such as their stainless steel from an exclusive supplier who only deals in the finest grades.

To be quite honest, the design of Kraus KPF-2110 may appear to be a bit too chic and elegant for the average kitchen. You’d perhaps have to be a serious style junkie to have this faucet fit in with some of the other decor items you have in your kitchen interior, particularly the appearance of the sink. You’d definitely not want to tamper with the color and finish of the faucet itself to match what will likely be a shinier sink. So, perhaps there’ll be some extra costs in touching-up your sink to match the faucet. Otherwise, the differences will be quite glaring and the typical. The average sink will fall nothing short of looking cheap, to say the least.

So you’d be going all-in with the addition of this faucet to your kitchen.

Features

This faucet’s design means that the length of the hose can be as short as 63 inches. Water (consumed at a rate of 2.2 gallons per minute) flows out through just one hole. The water flow rate is 1.8 gallons per minute.

The sprout sits rather high at 7.5 inches, while its reach stretches to a good 9 inches. You get a standard style head. That just works really well in terms of functionality and for the overall design of the unit.

You’ll pay a good buck for this faucet, both for the design & styling as well as the features it packs and how those features translate to its functionality.

Installation

For installation considerations, this faucet weighs 6.8 pounds and measures in at 8 x 1.4 x 12 inches. It’s a deck-mounted installation, but for the novice or DIY installer, some caution really needs to be exercised. In fact, you may find yourself a bit frustrated at the distinct lack of detail in the installation instructions. Perhaps some photo illustrations would have done otherwise. For such an expensive faucet it’s best leaving it to a professional and spending just a little bit more to ensure your unit lasts for as long as a lifetime.

Functionality

The rather unique-looking finish of this faucet has much more to it than visual appeal. It’s simply durable by default, due to the high quality of the stainless steel used in conjunction with a silver finish. Style delivers functionality that’s nothing short of flawless and you just have to use it in order to understand.

While the dominant metal used to construct the base of this faucet is indeed stainless steel, brass also forms part of the alloy makeup. No lead was added to the brass. This makes it feel solid when mounted and deployed. You could never tell that there’s any brass at all.

Controlling the water flow is where the effortlessness takes center-stage, done very conveniently via the singular lever. Unlike many pull-down faucets and a lot of other pull-out faucets as well really, this one from Kraus has a spout swivel. It is only limited to 120 degrees. You would have thought it would offer a bit more. Given the high-profile location of the spray head, 120 degrees of the swivel is more than enough to get whatever filling or cleaning job is done well enough. What it means is that you have total access to the sink. Also, you don’t have to slightly tip big pots over in order to fit them into the kitchen sink for filling or washing.

Yes, there’s a sprayer that can be pulled out and it’s fastened rather securely to the docking. The sprayer is retractable as well and works well with its counterweight feature.

You can operate this faucet quite nicely since it has a low-flow aerator. The ceramic cartridge ensures drip-free operation over many uses to come.

Maintenance

The rubber nozzles which are primarily there to prevent the build-up of hard water are super easy to clean. The silver finish is resistant to rust and corrosion, making maintenance a real breeze.

Kohler Bellera Pull-Down Faucet Review

Published

on

By

Stylish! We’ve worked on one of the best pull-down kitchen faucets for our homes. Let’s go through all the features in our 5-section Kohler Bellera pull-down review.

Design & Style

That faded-shine color you see on this Kohler faucet is officially known as vibrant stainless steel and there’s more to it than just the outwardly appearance. Yes, it looks extremely good, sporting what falls nothing short of a luxurious look and feel. On the other hand, this design, style, and color scheme have a lot of significance to the maintenance of the unit. The vibrant stainless steel finish involves a process which makes the robust coating of the unit stainless. Nothing seems to stick to it. Whether it’s dirty hands, hot bits of food which are very sticky, or anything else really.

The base material of this one-piece kitchen faucet is metal, with the vibrant stainless steel finish and a color scheme named after the finish. This can be said to most closely resemble what would be considered to be a traditional kitchen pull-down faucet. When you take into account the shape, build, and color finish, it’s a traditional style that fits perfectly into the contemporary home.

Somehow this design and style seem to work well in more classically styled homes with a lot of character and quaint charm. The “vibrancy” in the vibrant stainless steel finish is probably what makes it work just as well in a more retro-styled home as it does in a contemporary-style kitchen.

Features

Because of its traditional style in its design and appearance, and its simple one-piece build, it would be very easy for someone to take one look at this faucet, admiring it only for its sheer beauty. A whole lot more goes into making it one of the most feature-filled drop-down faucets around, though. “Under the hood” if you like, the trio of features that make this one of the best faucets around includes what Kohler calls their DockNetik System, ProMotion Technology, and the MasterClean Sprayface. What does all of this mean, though?

What these fancy names translate to in features includes a magnetic-based docking system, which is situated inside the spout. The unsuspecting user would naturally not be able to sneak a peek at this. However, what it does is it locks the spray head very securely into place. This comes together with a very lightweight hose with some braiding. This feature makes it quiet to operate while it swivels on a ball joint to just make handling that much easier and a lot more comfortable. These features are topped off with a spray face that does very well to completely avoid the building-up of minerals.

Installation

Of all the traditional-looking pull-down faucets featured, this one’s cost sits near the top. Probably because it conceals the hidden feature of the pull-out hose. This has some implications for the installation process. It is easy enough to figure out for professionals, but DIYers must take extra care. It is indeed dock-mounted, but the documentation for its mounting could have been illustrated much better.

Functionality

The innovative and sleek features aren’t just for show and outward styling with this faucet. Each design feature doubles-up quite nicely to depict some good value in the unit’s functionality. This makes the Bellera pull-down faucet function well ergonomically and mechanically. The high-arch profile of the way in which the spout was designed is one such example of the functionality which comes bundled in with ergonomics. It can rotate fully at 360 degrees. This is some design genius considering anyone who is washing different sized pots. It can reach over some of the tallest of these posts. Let’s face it, isn’t that what drop-down faucets are really for?

In addition, the spray head (which features three built-in functions) can be pulled right down into the kitchen sink. It is a feature that reveals a somewhat hidden function of this being more than just a solid faucet. This allows users to bring the pressured water spray as close to whatever they’re washing inside the sink as possible, or perhaps to fill a pot, etc. One handle makes it easy to operate, with this ease of operation literally spilling over to manipulating the breeze and the water temperature.

The three functions of the spray-head include the Stream, which is just great for filling up different types of sizes of your pots and pans. Sweep Spray essentially just creates a broad and powerful stream of water (great for a superior clean). The Pause function allows you to stop the flow of water quickly while you switch between your kitchen tasks.

Maintenance

A vibrant stainless steel finish means the coating is made of non-stick materials. Thus, maintenance is virtually non-existent here. The mineral build-up is extremely slow and minimal. If you perhaps want to clean it (after ten years maybe), it’s still breezed.
